Portal Lion

The limestone portal lion comes from secondary context from the region of Elbistan and entered into Gaziantep Archaeology Museum in the early 2000s. It is 60 cm in height, 30 cm in width, and 83 cm in length. Due to erosion, some of the details have been lost. Stylistically, a date in the 10th to 9th century BCE has been suggested. It is on display in the Gaziantep Archaeology Museum.
