Funerary(?) Stele
The bottom half of a basalt stele shows the relief of a male figure and a partially preserved 3-line Luwian inscription. It was reportedly found at Yunus Höyük, about 1.5 km northwest of Karkamış. The stele is about 1 meter in height and 70 cm in width and stylistically may date to the first half of the 8th century BCE. It is currently in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.
