Stele

The limestone stele with a round back was found during the 1910s in a house in "upper Karkamış" used as a door sill. The front has a rather weathered male figure, possibly a deity, with some inscriptions in front of the figure. On the back are the traces of a 3-line Luwian inscription. It is about 70 cm high and 35 cm wide. Currently in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.
