Sculptured block with an inscription

The lower half of a sculptured basalt block was found in 1981 within the rubble on the right side of the entrance of the Ain Dara temple. The remaining size of the block is 1.13 m in length, 1.18 m in height, and 0.44 m in width. On its long side, there is a relief of the legs of a striding lion. The adjoining narrow side has a relief of the lower part of a male figure accompanied by a partial Hieroglyphic Luwian inscription, meaning of which remains unclear.
