Yağrı Relief

The stele was found towards the end of the 19th century near Yağrı locality of the Günyüzü town of Eskişehir province. It displays two seated figures facing each other with an altar in between. The figures are likely to represent deities, and the scene is similar to the relief 65-66 of Yazılıkaya. The remnants of the hieroglyphic signs above the left figure (-p]a-tu) match the end of DEUS Ti-pa-tu read above figure 66 in Yazılıkaya, and therefore it is likely that the Yağrı stele represents the same figures (Özcan 2012). A date in the 14th century BCE has been suggested. The stele is currently in the Ancient Orient section of the Istanbul Archaeology Museum.
