Şanlıurfa

Several Neo-Hittite period sculptures found within the city of Şanlıurfa (previously Urfa until 1984) are on display in the Şanlıurfa Museum. A large orthostat measuring 0.75 meters in width and 1.10 meters in height that depicts a bow and arrow-wielding male figure, possibly a god, was found during municipal works in the city. Other finds include sphinx and lion heads of late Neo-Hittite styles.
