Stele fragment

The basalt stele fragment shows a male figure holding a bow, wearing a sword on his belt, in front of a table. Whatever figure was on the right side of the table is no longer visible. It was first noted by Otto Puchstein in the 1880s. Stele is about 0.8 meter high and 0.6 meter wide. Stylistically a date around 950-875 BCE has been suggested. Currently in the inventory of the Adana Museum.
