Sphinxes
A couple of sphinxes found in different times likely originate from the same structure due to their similarities. Although the one in the Adana Museum (first row) has endured more erosion, it is clear that it is in the same style as the one in the Kahramanmaraş Museum (second row). The flat section on their back may suggest that in their original position they used to support a column or some other building unit. Stylistically, they may date to the 8th century BCE. They are on display at the Adana and Kahramanmaraş Museums.
