Mythological scene
The relief shows an execution scene which has been intereprered as a depiction from the mythological story of Gilgamesh, where Gilgamesh and Enkidu kill the Guardian of the Cedar Forest named Humbaba. The limestone relief is about 1.22 m in height and 1.45 m in width, and has been dated to th 10th century BCE. It is on display in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.
