Stele

The limestone stele with a round back was found during 1910s in a house in "upper Karkamış" used as a door sill. The front has a rather weathered male figure possibly a deity with some inscriptions in front of the figure. On the back are the traces of a 3-line Luvian inscription. It is about 70 cm high and 35 cm wide. Curently in Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.
